Our salon has been in business in Oak Lawn since 1982. We pride ourselves in bringing you the newest trends and services with the latest technology and products. Our talented and diverse staff service any and all types of clients no matter what age they are or what styles they wear. We use many different products in our salon because we feel that not everyone can use the same color or perms.
Meet our Staff
I’m Ann Shalibi and have been working with hair in Oak Lawn for over 30 years. I was a salon owner for many years before joining Shears To You. I really love catering to the older woman and doing cuts, perms and roller sets which seems to have fallen by the wayside. We really try to take care of every type of client at our salon. After all, your grandmother loves getting her hair done too, right?
My 4 grown kids and grandchildren keep me running round the clock. I love cooking big meals for big crowds.
Hi, my name is Kristi McWilliams and I was born in Chicago and raised in the Oak Lawn area. I currently live in Sugar Grove with my husband Mack, my dog Buddy and my cat, Twinkie. Some of my favorite things that I love are bowling, watching the Cubs win, and dressing up for Halloween! My specialty in hairdressing is in men’s styling. I have worked in the Oak Lawn area for over 28 years starting at Captains Chair on 95th Street and for the last 20 years at Shears To You. I love doing all the current cuts that Hollywood boys are showing but I’m also really great at giving the mature man an updated look in precision and clipper cuts. My other services include men’s hair coloring and facial hair grooming. My schedule is Thursdays 11-6 and Saturdays 11-3.
Hi, I'm Sherri Lohse and I'm 33 years old. I currently live in Oak Lawn with my family & 2 dogs Peanut, a Jack Russel mix and Holly, a Chihuahua. I am a triplet with the other two being boys. What do I like? Well I enjoy camping at Starve Rock but my biggest passion is C-h-r-i-s-t-m-a-s!!! Love it!! I have been at Shears To You for over 3 years with a total of 14 years in hairdressing. What I really love to do is a trendy haircut and then show it off with a creative color design like dimentional coloring, highlighting and custom blended colors that follow the flow of the cut. I also specialize in hair extensions, hair replacement, and eyelash extensions. My days that I work are Tuesday-Saturday and also evenings.
My name is Jennifer Macha. I am from Oak Lawn and have been in the Cosmetology industry for 20 years. I've been working at Shears To You Salon for 16 years. I have continued my education with John Amico and Linda Stanojevic. I am certified in hair replacement and hair extensions. Some of my Upstyles have been published in Inspire hairstyle books and magazines. I have done platform work for trade shows and was recently filmed in an Upstyle educational dvd.
My name is Steve and I have been working in the Oak Lawn area for years – my own salon ‘Wavelengths’ on 111th in Oak Lawn and the last 10 years at Shears To You. I love my work and I try to maintain a high level of service to my clients and always keep their styles updated. One of my favorite services that I love to give my clients is hair color because I think it can really show off their personality and my talent! My choice of color is Schwartzkopf because of how natural it makes the hair look. Some of my favorite things I love are vacationing in Florida and fine dining. My music? Anything from Shania Twain to Prince!
Hi! I am Anna Zurlo. I graduated from John Amico in 1982. I have worked for various salons before I became a partner with Candace at our salon called "Designing Women." We were partners for 14 years before we decided to sell. I currently am working with Candance at Shears To You Salon in Oak Lawn. I do many jobs and have always enjoyed my work.
My name is Karla Fortuna and I am married and have two girls and 3 grandsons, Damien, Apollo, and Vincent. I started working at Shears To You Salon over 10 years ago and have various tasks at hand. Besides being a hairdresser's tech, I assist in hair extensions and hair replacment. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my grandsons and my two dogs.
My name is Candace Gomez and I have been a stylist for 37 years and I specialize in "Coloring." I have used Framesi for 20 years and still only use and supply Framesi. I have owned my own salon in the past in Oak Lawn called "Designing Women." I had owned it for 14 years. I currently am working under "Shears To You Salon" renting my own station and am loving it! I love my profession.

Meet OUR STYLISTS assistants, Karla, Cheryl and Catherine (Cat). All three ladies have been with Shears To You for many years, Karla being the longest at 10 years. There’s no way in the world you can keep up a busy salon without great assistants! Their specialties? Keeping the Stylists on track with appointments, making sure our guests are comfortable, and giving a great shampoo!
